What Bike can I use for camp?Any bike you are comfortable riding can be used for camp. We have alot of kids that start off on mountain bikes or their neighborhood bikes. If your bike has a kickstand or pegs, those need to be removed. Please make sure your bikes tires are aired up and everything is in good working condition.
-
What Safety Gear do I need?Helmet - Any bike helmet will work. We do recommend a full-face bike helmet for the best protection. Clothing - Long Sleeve Shirt, Pants, and close-toe shoes are required. We recommend gloves, knee, elbow pads. the more protection the better. Most racers will go down at some point, it's a part of learning. When they have gloves and pads on it makes for a much better experience after a fall.
-
What Ages and Skill Levels can participate?Learn BMX is for 5-year-olds and older. The rider will need to be very comfortable riding a 2 wheel bike unassisted - No training Wheels. Our beginner/Novice camps are for riders that are just beginning BMX Racing. Our Intermediate/Advanced Camps are for riders that are ready to start Jumping, manualing, passing, and taking gate techniques to the next level.
